We invite you to dig a little deeper to learn more about PyData and our virtual conference, PyData Global coming up December 1–3, 2022!
For those unfamiliar with PyData, it is an educational program of NumFOCUS whose mission is to provide a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other.
The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R. The goal of PyData conferences like PyData Global is to be an accessible, community-driven conference offering novice to advanced level presentations. PyData tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features and cutting-edge use cases.
Several PyData conferences are scheduled for the coming months, including the third installment of PyData Global, a three-day virtual conference with live presentations running nearly round the clock with plenty of Q&A and engagement opportunities to foster deeper discussions. The conference features a variety of presentation formats, such as workshops, talks, and panel discussions to create diverse learning experiences.
PyData Global has recently announced several of its keynote speakers, including Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub, and Quincy Larson, Founder of FreeCodeCamp.org.

The Call for Proposals is open until September 12, and you can read more about the submission process and submit proposals here. Newcomers to presenting are most welcome to apply and we also have volunteer opportunities for those interested in reviewing proposals.
