2022 was a special year for us at NumFOCUS as it marked our 10th Anniversary. As we reflect upon the past ten years, we owe a huge thank you to the thousands of stakeholders in scientific computing who have chosen to financially support the development and sustainability of dozens of open-source projects and tools.
Our 2022 Year-End Fundraiser rallied our community around the idea that even a relatively small gift can make a significant impact. We’re excited to share that we concluded the campaign by surpassing of our goal of $60k in donations. A huge thank you to NormConf and Block Science for their significant contributions. In total, 141 individuals donated to our Year-End Fundraiser bringing in over $61k.
The support we received from our community not only this year but over the course of the past decade provides us with the resources to continue providing outstanding service to our Projects as well as taking bold steps in critical new directions.
